University Distinguished Alumni Award


The University Distinguished Alumni Award was created in 1956 by the Alumni Advisory Board to recognize alumni with exemplary professional careers which illustrate the value of an Â鶹´«Ã½ education and to recognize those alumni with continued relationships with the university who have made a tangible expression of loyalty to their alma mater. This award provides an opportunity to recognize, engage, and steward outstanding alumni.
 

Criteria and Nominations


Candidates should:
 
  • Be a graduate of Â鶹´«Ã½
  • Illustrate an exemplary professional career
  • Be a donor to Â鶹´«Ã½
  • Maintain a relationship with the University through formal or informal service
  • Be a person of such integrity and character that Â鶹´«Ã½ will take pride in and be inspired by their recognition

 

Â鶹´«Ã½ College Distinguished Alumni Awards


The Â鶹´«Ã½ College Distinguished Alumni Awards provide an opportunity to recognize, engage, and steward outstanding alumni. Below is a brief description of each award and the criteria for nominations.

The College Distinguished Alumni Awards recognize graduates of the respective college who have distinguished themselves professionally or personally through admirable qualities and significant contributions to their chosen field.
 

Criteria and Nominations


The following criteria is used in selecting recipients. The nominee shall:
 
  • be a graduate of the chosen college.
  • be distinguished in their profession, business or other worthy endeavors, and have received recognition from their contemporaries.
  • have made significant contributions benefitting his or her community, state, nation, the university or the college.
  • be a person of such integrity, stature, and demonstrated ability that the faculty, students, staff and alumni of the college will take pride in and be inspired by their recognition.

 

Alumni Service Award


The Alumni Service Award was created by the Alumni Advisory Board in 2017 to recognize alumni who serve the University in a volunteer capacity consistently over time and/or who make a significant impact on a university project or initiative. This award provides an opportunity to recognize, engage and steward key volunteers whose energy, dedication, and enthusiasm epitomize the spirit of Â鶹´«Ã½.
 

Criteria and Nominations


Candidates should:
 
  • Be a graduate of Â鶹´«Ã½
  • Be a donor to Â鶹´«Ã½
  • Demonstrate exceptional personal commitment to supporting and serving Â鶹´«Ã½. Examples include but are not limited to serving through alumni programs, recruiting students, facilitating alumni events in their local area, supporting current students, and serving on advisory boards.
  • Be a person of such integrity and character that Â鶹´«Ã½ will take pride in and be inspired by their recognition

 

William L. Robinson Young Alumni Award


The William L. Robinson Young Alumni Award was established in 2004 to honor and recognize William L. Robinson and the 50 years he dedicated to impacting Â鶹´«Ã½ students. This award recognizes alumni who graduated within the last fifteen years and who demonstrate passion and loyalty toward their profession, community and alma mater. It provides an opportunity to engage and steward young alumni donors who exemplify the values and outcomes of an Â鶹´«Ã½ education.
 

Criteria and Nominations


Candidates should:
  • Be a graduate of Â鶹´«Ã½
  • Illustrate promising growth and commitment to their profession
  • Demonstrate a commitment to their local community
  • Foster a continued relationship with and passion for Â鶹´«Ã½
  • Be a person of such integrity and character that Â鶹´«Ã½ will take pride in and be inspired by his or her recognition
